About

We're building the practice tool we wished we had.

GoShadowing is a brand of Macrame, LLC.

The short version

Most language tools are built around vocabulary. The ones that touch speaking tend to be either rigid scripted-course audio or live tutors who cost more than most learners can sustain. We wanted a daily practice tool that worked with the audio and video learners actually want to imitate, that gave honest feedback, and that didn't punish you for missing a day.

What we believe

Speaking is a motor skill. Motor skills get better with short, daily, slightly-too-hard practice — and worse with long, infrequent, easy practice. We've built the entire product around that.

We also believe in respecting your time. There are no streak punishments, no fake urgency, no upsell pop-ups in the middle of practice.
